Comet | Herbicide

Comet is a selective post-emergence herbicide engineered to provide broad-spectrum control of troublesome annual and perennial broadleaf weeds, as well as invasive woody brush species. It is especially effective in maintaining the health and productivity of rangeland and permanent pastures by eliminating competitive weed pressure and promoting desirable forage growth. In addition to its primary use in pastures, Comet is also labeled for use in a wide range of crop and non-crop areas, including small grains, field corn, sweet corn, grain sorghum, fallow cropland, on-farm non-cropland, and pome fruit orchards. It delivers reliable performance against hard-to-control weeds such as Canada thistle, dandelion, wild buckwheat, and volunteer potatoes.

Comet may be applied as a single broadcast treatment for broad coverage or as a spot treatment to address targeted infestations, offering growers application flexibility depending on their specific needs. Its utility in on-farm non-cropland areas—such as fence rows, equipment staging areas, building perimeters, irrigation systems, and private farm roads—makes it a valuable tool for overall farmstead weed management. By reducing weed interference in these areas, Comet supports safer access, cleaner operating environments, and reduced potential for weed seed migration into production zones.

With a proven track record of dependable control, Comet promotes stronger, healthier crops and forages by minimizing weed competition for nutrients, moisture, and sunlight. Its excellent crop safety profile and compatibility with various cropping systems and management practices make it a trusted option for integrated weed control programs. Whether maintaining pasture quality or protecting row crops and non-crop zones, Comet offers the strength, flexibility, and consistency needed to support long-term productivity and land stewardship.
