25% Rimsulfuron
Matrix SG is absorbed through the roots and foliage, rapidly inhibiting the growth of susceptible weeds. It then delivers long soil residual control of mallow, marestail, fleabane, kochia and quackgrass with preemergence partial control of dandelion, lambsquarters, yellow nutsedge, prostrate pigweed and nightshade species.
The herbicide’s dual absorption pathway ensures effective uptake regardless of application timing or weed emergence stage. Its extended residual activity provides season-long protection, reducing the need for multiple applications and offering excellent value for growers. The systemic translocation throughout the plant ensures complete control, while the soil-active properties create a protective barrier that prevents new weed germination. This comprehensive control mechanism makes Matrix SG particularly effective in challenging weed management situations where consistent, reliable performance is essential.
Matrix SG herbicide can be tank-mixed with other labeled partners to add contact activity or broaden the weed control spectrum. When mixed with a burndown herbicide, Matrix SG improves the contact activity of the tank-mix partner on labeled species.
This enhanced performance occurs because Matrix SG’s systemic properties complement the rapid contact action of burndown products, creating a more comprehensive weed management approach. The combination provides both immediate visual control and long-term residual activity, ensuring more consistent and reliable weed suppression. Tank-mixing also allows for more flexible application timing and can help address resistant weed populations that may not respond adequately to single-mode-of-action treatments, ultimately improving overall field management strategies.
